I’m Zoe, an integrative and creative psychotherapist, offering trauma-informed online therapy to clients across the UK and internationally.
Originally from Ireland, I left in my early twenties and have since lived and worked in several cultures, including the United States and almost ten years in Thailand. These experiences have shaped my understanding of belonging, identity, and the emotional impact of cultural and historical dislocation. They inform my belief that healing begins when we feel both seen and understood — culturally, personally, and creatively.
I currently also work with icap (the Irish Community Counselling Centre in London), providing therapy to people of Irish heritage who have experienced childhood abuse, trauma, and the legacy of colonialism and the church. This work has deepened my appreciation for how trauma can echo through generations, and how reconnecting with story, body, and imagination can restore meaning and agency.
My Irish roots, time abroad, and ongoing work within London’s Irish community all inform a practice that is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and grounded in compassion. I understand what it’s like to feel caught between worlds — to search for home, identity, and belonging.
Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I co-founded The Kids Collective, a Sudbury-inspired, child-led learning community focused on autonomy, creativity, and emotional wellbeing. This experience continually reminds me that people, regardless of age, thrive when they are met with curiosity, respect, and space to grow.
That same philosophy shapes my work as a therapist: I see therapy as a collaboration rather than a diagnosis, helping you reconnect with the inner resources you already hold. As an integrative psychotherapist and art therapist, I work creatively and I have different perspectives and theories (psychodynamic, Gestalt, person centred. transactional analysis) to draw on when working with you. I can adapt my approach to suit your changing needs, offering you a bespoke experience. You might be invited to explore through art-making, metaphor, body awareness, dreams, or imagination — not as artistic exercises, but as pathways to what words alone can’t reach. The creative process can unlock insight and healing that often remain hidden.
At the heart of my work is a warm, non-judgemental presence and a belief that you are the expert of your life — you already hold all the resources to navigate life’s terrain and you may just need some help to connect to them. I will work collaboratively with you. I will listen carefully to what you have to say and help you communicate the things you can’t put into words. We will work together to discover some of the root causes of your problems and the strategies to help you live a more fulfilling life.
I welcome individuals of different age, gender, culture, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, ability, faith, and lived experience. I’m committed to creating a space that honours your uniqueness
I offer trauma-informed online therapy across London and the UK, drawing on extensive clinical experience in the NHS, charity sector, and community services. My work includes supporting women affected by domestic violence, providing neurorehabilitation care, and offering culturally sensitive therapy for members of the Irish community, including survivors of institutional abuse. I’ve facilitated groups in acute mental health settings and worked with diverse communities navigating complex emotional landscapes.
Internationally, I spent nearly a decade in Northern Thailand, co-founding an arts charity that delivered Therapeutic Arts Workshops to refugees and migrant workers. This deepened my commitment to creative, cross-cultural approaches to healing. I also co-founded The Kids Collective in Hastings—a democratic, child-led learning community rooted in emotional wellbeing and autonomy. These experiences shape a practice that is inclusive, creative, and grounded in compassion.
